L.A. leisure authorities.

Tessy King is an Australian ceramicist worthy of endless admiration. Her work embodies wabi-sabi, making perfectly imperfect vases, planters, art. She has shared with us one of her weekends in Australia, including a camping trip to the beautiful Wilsons Promontory National Park. I'd love to go there myself someday, but for now this will do. See more of her ceramics on her site and Instagram!
Weekend Babes x Jujumade
by Gabrielle Antonette and Juliana Hung
As much as a Weekend Babe loves minimalism and packing light, a Weekend Babe also loves finding the most beautiful gear. Juliana Hung, our girl behind Jujumade, is an artist who makes fashionable & functional pieces for everyday or for travel (her duffel bag is killer). She's shared with us photographs from her recent trip to Merida, Mexico, during which she stayed at Hacienda Sac Chich. We can't wait to see how the places she visited inspire her future work. Shop the latest here and follow along on her Instagram. All photos below courtesy of the artist.

Somehow, these blindingly golden rolling hills in the middle of LA go largely unnoticed. Ascot Hills Park is tucked away in El Sereno, making it relatively quiet and easy to access. You don't have to battle traffic or crowds, and you get some of the best views of Downtown. It's good for watching celestial events, picnics, hiking, and for showing off to out-of-towners (especially at sunset). If you're looking to really sweep someone off their feet, Fosselman's Ice Cream is a quick ten minute drive from the park and a perfect, pre-or-post-sunset snack.
