LA Parks: The Cornfield

by Gabrielle Antonette and Carrie Nusbaum

We've been spending a lot of time at The Cornfield/Los Angeles State Historic Park lately. We almost don't want to talk about it, because we like having it to ourselves. It's not the best park for hiking (it's flat) or picnicking (it's too close to Nick's Cafe, which is where you have to eat). But it's a perfect place for standing around, watching trains pass, having girl talk, sneaking overripe berries from the community garden, and enjoying the view of Downtown. We can't really explain the Squirt product placement, because we certainly weren't compensated in any way. Basically, the bottle is a pretty color and we wanted to get into a tiny bit of trouble by making something explode.
